Boat Town Marketing Overhaul
As the first appointed Director of Marketing at Boat Town- first project including a full marketing overhaul. Complete redesign of websites for Boat Town & Boat Town Burger Bar, along with revamp of all social media pages/accounts, and later creation of Patio 2900 logo, website, and social media accounts. Creation of Boat Town Boutique social accounts.
Better Than a Boat Show & Other Events
Marketing Efforts for Annual In-House Boat Show & other occaional events: creation of all content, ad structure and copy for all campaigns relating to annual in-house Boat Show, boat reveal events, and customer appreciation boating events. Estimated ROI on marketing efforts around 700%. Also responsible for various logistics involving Boat Reveals and customer appreciation events.
She's the Captain Now- Women's Boating Clinics
Encouraging women and inspiring confidence on and behind the boat, including in the drivers seat. Coordinating logistics and creation of all marketing/promotional efforts to teach boating safety, driving and surfing tips to anyone who wants to learn, with a specific focus on creating a friendly environment for women who may otherwise feel intimidated.
Additionally, offering private driving and watersports lessons to existing and (hopefully) future Boat Town clients to encourage boating safely and operating in the safest ways possible.
TSR Zombie Hunts + Holiday Event Series
TSR Zombie Hunts- a Halloween event in the form of a haunted hay ride through our 70 acre property during which guests sat behind mounted paintball guns to shoot at any zombies in sight. Guests were accompanied by a tour guide & driver who both acted out a detailed story line for an ultimate guest experience. 85% of customers had never heard of TSR before, and 95% of tickets for the month sold out. All marketing done in house.
Combined with a family friendly "Tricks N Treats" event, and for the Christmas Holiday season brought to TSR "Surf the Season"- a pro level wake surf competition.
Operations Overhaul
Overhaul of all internal operations involving hiring, on-boarding, event booking, customer service, and point of sale. Within first three years at TSR, helped to restructure old paper systems to up-to-date organized, digital means of communication and operation. Included implementing a new Point of Sale system that had direct impact on customers, new event booking and payment collection procedures, communication systems among companies & departments, coach tipping systems, customer review collection, and safety training + tracking.
Content Photoshoot for Boat Town District
Organized content shoot for 3 out of 4 boat brands carried by Boat Town. Created shot list, scheduled, organized talent and logistics, executed shoot and edited all content. In addition, duplicated efforts for both restaurants and boutique located on Lake LBJ, for a full revamp of all digital content across the brand.
Event Operation Customer Deck
Creation of new Event Deck: created for customer use by new Event Coordinator for private party requests. Created outline of structure for internal operations along with design for customer view. Available as example upon request
Social Media Research, Presentations & Content
Responsible for overall marketing plans and initiatives; including graphic design involvement, social media marketing campaigns and regular account maintenance, digital marketing initiatives including email campaign, content creation, and photo & video production and usage, along with print marketing strategies, and analytics of data and ROI. Responsible for social media presence on Instagram and Facebook- each between a 13k and 15k range. Content creation and customer relationship management for both accounts.
Presented in a "Speed Round" as a key speaker at the WSIA Summit Conference on social media strategies.
Freeze Ride, Rugged Ranch Run, and Other TSR Events
Freeze Ride & The Rugged Ranch Run- an annual event day combo at TSR. Freeze Ride is an athletic competition for all levels of wakeboarders, and the Run consisted of a 5k obstacle course with over 25 obstacles- including high jumps, mud trenches, and climb overs. Event day each year averaged between 300 and 600 attendees. Woodstock and other concerts- third party organizers hosting concerts and other large events on property. TSR responsible for infrastructure and safety measures, as well as coordinating with sound, light, electricians and music artists to put on a professional entertainment event. Multiple of these event types held at TSR each year.
Team TSR Revamp
Implemented new hiring system and increased level of expectation for new hires. Transitioned into digital application collection and on-boarding, as well as updating on-boarding materials such as employee handbook, training materials, performance review templates, checklist and accountability systems, and productivity assessments. Retention rate of part-time employees increased substantially since 2017.
New TSR Website
Created new company website at the beginning of 2019. Average of 2.7k organic search results each month, with over 43k backlink visits per month. Responsible for email campaigns with 16k+ subscribers. Average open rate maintained at 10-14% with an average click rate of 2-6%. Roughly 10% increase in number of private lessons and group bookings.
